FW13 collection picks

The fall winter 2013 fashion shows are almost finished, we can see a little bit play safe collections within the fashion field. However, there are still many designers willing to try to play some amazing collections, Criminal Girl chosen all of them and did a FW 13 collection summary.

1) Fausto Puglisi

I have seen a young funky collection with a shadow of Givenchy style is presented in Fausto Puglisi fw13 fashion show. Honestly , I like his collection more than Givenchy one, even I am a big fans of Givenchy. Fausto Puglisi did a mixture of London street funky clothing silhouette with royal or religious elements. I can see a young line of Givenchy, and it fits teenagers very well.

2) Preen by Thornton Bregazzi

I can say Criminal Girl always like Preen’s collection. They always surprise me in each seasonal collections. In Fw 13, I like Preen by Thornton Bregazzi more than Preen. Preen by Thornton Bregazzi is more elegant, marketable and more “Preen” style. Preen always applied fine and well-developed fabric, the mixture of fabrication in different outfits is very plentiful. It is save to use black & white in Fall Winter collection, but they play these two colors with jewels decorations, it makes the collection become marketable and creative.

3) Anne Sofie Madsen

Style.com keep an eye on Copenhagen Fashion Week, because all of us see the possibility of Danish designs. Criminal Girl like Anne Sofie Madsen most in Copenhagen Fashion Week this year. Anne Sofie Madsen as I introduced before, she is a good illustrator and designers. The Fw collection shows her strength in textile designs, plastic as material in clothing? Yes, she did it. It match so well with her collection including fur trims clothing and illustration prints clothing.

4) J.W. Anderson

There are so many bloggers and magazines introduced J.W. Anderson for a long time, I like his designs, but I can’t said that he is my favorite designer. This is because I like prints and colorful designers, the plain and well constructed J.W. Anderson’s designs… really is not my cup of tea. However, the FW13 collection is really well constructed, the draping technique of J.W. Anderson is really surprise. Even it is a well constructed collection, the FW13 collection is still marketable.

5) Undercover

Undercover did a very romantic and costume designs-like collection in FW fashion show. Some people say that this collection likes Vivienne Westwood’s collection, but I think this collection just like Tom Ford’s period YSL. Very French Opera’s costume liked and with a small touch of sexy elements. I like the lace rabbit mask, it represents sexy and funny elements of the whole collection.

6) Christopher Kane

Christopher Kane shows the power of textile designs in the FW 13 collection. Criminal Girl really hope to  see the close up of the fabrication of this collection, it is really delicate and innovative textile designs. I know that, he did these techniques before in his past collection, but I really like the techniques mixing with gothic style. Christopher Kane state that he will not revisit these techniques and will do something new in the future collection. This collection is the last scene, but I am looking forward to see more about Christopher Kane!
