Criminal Girl’s Haute Couture Spring 2014 pick
Sorry for my late Haute Couture Report, Criminal Girl worked so hard in the illustration part and it takes time…. For the Haute Couture , I just picked two collections, that doesn’t mean the others are not good enough, just because these two are very standing out! Let’s see my favorite picks!
1) Christina Dior
Raf Simons gave the topic of “Freedom” in his Haute Couture collection, it is a kind of freedom in creation and free up people’s mind! Raf Simons gave least control in Haute Couture collection, it’s really a new try. We all know that Haute Couture has specify customer and it always related to luxury. Raf Simons gave freedom of how to wear the luxurious clothing, it is a kind of freedom of mix & match. For me, it is a brand new Haute Couture collection that close to Ready- to -wear, and it is a new definition of Haute Couture!

2) Maison Martin Margiela
Maision Martin Margiela team showed their magic of deconstruction in Spring 2014 Haute Couture collection. For the MMM team, their kind of Haute Couture is to remade, redefine and rework the classic clothing to be MMM unique pieces. The 14 “artworks” came from different places and in different time section. Including a 1950s prom dress, vintage fabric flowers sourced in L.A., London, Paris and sequined costumes from the Beijing Opera in the 1930s. MMM team deconstructed all these vintage pieces to be modern MMM styles!
